Rights, Reproductions & Digital Sharing Policy
The Winnsboro Historical Museum is dedicated to the preservation and sharing of our community's unique history. Our digital content—including photography, researched articles, and archival scans—is a result of extensive professional labor and donor support. To ensure our history is shared accurately and fairly, we ask that all users adhere to the following guidelines:
Tier 1: Personal & Social Media Sharing
We encourage you to share our stories with your friends and family!

The Rule: You may repost our images and content to your personal social media profiles.

The Requirement: You must provide a clear credit line or tag our official account (e.g., "Photo courtesy of @WinnsboroTxMuseum" or "Information sourced from www.WinnsboroTxMuseum.com").

Restriction: Images may not be cropped to remove watermarks or alter the historical context.
Tier 2: Educational & Non-Profit Use
For use in classrooms, academic papers, or by other 501(c)(3) organizations:

The Rule: Usage is generally permitted free of charge.

The Requirement: Please contact admin@winnsborotxmuseum.com for a formal "Letter of Permission" and to ensure you have the highest resolution version available. A specific credit line provided by the museum must be used.
Tier 3: Commercial & Media Use
For use in books, documentaries, news media, or any for-profit project:

The Rule: Written authorization and a licensing agreement are required.

The Requirement: Licensing fees may apply and are used directly to fund the continued preservation of our archives. Please submit a request via admin@winnsborotxmuseum.com.
